Weekend Surfboard Art

On Friday morning at 9:30 I got out of bed and made my way to the shower. Now this wasn't the easiest thing to do considering the night before i had quite a bender and now consequently had a minor headache and hangover. In the shower i got the idea to go and get some spray paints and paint up my fish surfboard. The board i decided to paint is a 2 year old ...Lost round nose fish quad fin, 5'10 x 20.00 x 2.38, a really fun board that works in shin high to overhead conditions. My idea that i had for the board was that i would try to make it look like a fish, a pretty obvious idea considering the boards model is a fish. I got out the tape and the razor blade and started making some designs i though were fish like and chose the colors i wanted and i was ready to begin. I started with the tape and cuting out the scale designs, then moved to the mouth and they eye. The next day i started spraying the board and taking the tape off and was really stoked with the product after the spray paint. Then i had to go and do the finish detailing work with my black and silver paint pens. I really supprised myself with this art project and how it turned out. I usually don't have too much confidence in my art abilities but this really stoked me out. This whole project was really fun and cant wait to go and do another project. I posted a couple pictures of the finished product and hope you like it. Until next time.
